Inside My Supplement Cabinet
When it comes to supplements, I believe in a science-backed, targeted approach rather than blindly taking a handful of pills and hoping for the best. Due to this, I wanted to give a sneak peek into my supplement cabinet! This is not doctor advice, simply the supplements that are tailored to my personal health goals.

Inside My Supplement Cabinet
My Binto subscription
I’ve been using Binto for years and I am completely obsessed! They offer customized daily supplement packs tailored to individual health goals and life stages. They quite literally have a consultation process, where experts help design a supplement regimen based on personal health history, goals, and lab work.
One of the key components of my Binto pack is the Prenatal Plus Multivitamin, which I love even outside of pregnancy. Besides my prenatal vitamin, a few other supplements in my subscription include Vitamin D3 (supports immune function and skin health), CoQ10 (aids cellular energy production and protects against oxidative stress), and Fish Oil with Omega-3s (helps reduce inflammation and supports brain and skin health).
nutrafol (postpartum or Women’s formula)
If you have been following me, this one should come as no surprise at all! Before jumping on the Nutrafol bandwagon, I looked into it a lot! What I discovered in the investigation is that Nutrafol takes a multi-targeted approach by addressing underlying causes of hair thinning, rather than simply masking symptoms.
A six-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study found that Nutrafol significantly increased the number of terminal and vellus hairs in women experiencing hair thinning. It’s one of the few hair supplements backed by rigorous clinical studies, making it the only hair supplement I will take. Use this link for $50 off your first order!
arrae calm, sleep, & bloat
If you haven’t tried Arrae yet, let this be your sign! I typically reach for their Calm, Sleep, or Bloat supplement. The effects are pretty self explanatory, based on the name, but I do want to go over some of the ingredients for each.
Arrae Calm contains magnesium bisglycinate, which lowers cortisol levels and supports nervous system function. The Sleep formula includes L-theanine, melatonin, and chamomile, which improve sleep quality. Arrae Bloat is designed to aid digestion and reduce bloating, using bromelain, ginger, and dandelion root to support gut motility and reduce water retention. I have been cycling through these 3 for about a year now and I really have noticed a shift!
Sera & mattina hydrolyzed collagen peptides
When you think of collagen, you can think of it as the structural protein that maintains skin elasticity, hydration, and firmness. By our mid-20s, natural collagen production begins to decline (RIP). If you listened to my podcast episode with Dr. Anthony Youn, you’d know just why I incorporate hydrolyzed collagen peptides in my daily routine. As he explained, collagen was controversial among providers for a long time, but emerging research continues to validate its benefits. He referenced a 2021 meta-analysis of over 1,100 people who took 90 days of hydrolyzed collagen peptides (this is a critical distinction)—showing statistically significant improvements in wrinkles, skin elasticity, and hydration. Additionally, placebo-controlled trials have gone as far as taking skin biopsies months after supplementation, demonstrating increased collagen in the skin.
The skepticism around collagen supplementation often stems from the fact that collagen is a large protein that the body struggles to absorb in its native form. This is why I will only use hydrolyzed collagen peptides! They’re broken down into smaller peptides and amino acids, making them much easier for the body to absorb and use effectively. I usually put it in my smoothie or yogurt in the morning!
Heliocare
Heliocare is surprisingly the only supplement I take specifically just for my skin. While pretty much all the supplements I take (like collagen peptides) have a positive impact for my skin, this is especially to support hyperpigmentation. Heliocare’s active ingredient, Polypodium leucotomos extract (PLE), has been extensively studied for its photoprotective and antioxidant properties. Research has shown that PLE can reduce visible light-induced pigmentation and minimize UV-induced DNA damage. While it doesn’t replace sunscreen, it serves as an extra layer of defense against UV-induced oxidative stress. I tend to recommend it to any of my clients who are experiencing long-term impacts from hyperpigmentation.
Arey “Grey Not Today”
I am starting to notice a theme that I love having my favorite supplement founders on the podcast! The founders of Arey Grey were one of my first guests on the podcast, and the science behind their products is unreal! Arey’s Grey Not Today supplement helps slow down the greying process by reducing oxidative stress and supporting melanin production in hair follicles. My husband and I both take it religiously and love it. Use code “SKINTHUSIAST20” for 20% off!
Side note: Their dry shampoo is also one of my absolute favorites!
Let’s conclude this blog by stating that supplements aren’t a magic fix, but they can be powerful tools when used strategically. The key is consistency and quality—choosing research-backed formulations and sticking with them over time. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you try any of the supplements you’re obsessed with!
