My Wellness Routine: Finding Balance in Everyday Moments

In the midst of being busy, finding balance and prioritizing my well-being becomes crucial, especially as a mom. I believe that true wellness encompasses more than just physical health; it's about nurturing our mental clarity and finding moments of inner balance. In this blog post, I'm excited to share my personal wellness routine—small, intentional actions that have a big impact on my overall well-being. So, let's explore the elements that bring balance to my life and make me feel my best.

Digital Detox: Unplugging for Inner Calm:

In this hyper-connected world, taking time to disconnect from technology is essential. I incorporate regular digital detoxes into my routine, whether it's setting aside dedicated "no-phone" hours or enjoying tech-free activities with my family. These moments of unplugging allow me to quiet my mind, rejuvenate, and fully engage with the present.

Hot Tea: A Soothing Ritual:

One of my favorite wellness rituals is enjoying a cup of hot tea. Lavender, mint, and chamomile are my go-to flavors. Sipping on these calming brews not only warms my soul but also provides a moment of tranquility in my day. It's a small act of self-care that brings a sense of relaxation and helps me unwind.

Moving My Body Intentionally: Embracing Active Living:

Exercise is a vital part of my wellness routine. Whether it's a leisurely walk with my family, engaging in low-impact workouts, or enjoying a casual jog, moving my body intentionally uplifts my mood and invigorates my spirit. Finding activities that bring joy and allow me to connect with my physical self is key to maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I also find motivation in trying new workouts. Organizing and Tidying Up: Calming the Mind through Environment:

For me, organizing and tidying up is an act of self-care that promotes mental clarity. A clean and well-ordered space helps me feel calm and focused. Taking the time to declutter and create an environment that supports my well-being is a powerful way to nurture myself from within.

Taking Supplements: Nourishing from the Inside Out:

To complement my wellness routine, I incorporate supplements that support my body's needs. These targeted additions ensure I receive essential nutrients and maintain optimal well-being. From vitamins to minerals and other beneficial compounds, supplements are a valuable part of my self-care regimen. Mindful Eating: Nourishing the Body and Soul:

A pescatarian/Mediterranean diet is my preferred approach to eating well. I strive to keep it low in dairy (and high quality when I do) and processed foods, opting for fresh, whole ingredients. However, I also believe in indulging and treating myself without guilt. Finding a balance between nourishing my body and allowing for occasional splurges is key to maintaining a healthy relationship with food. Remember, small actions can make a significant difference. So, take the time to nurture yourself and prioritize your wellness. Looking back at where I started, it’s amazing to see the changes I’ve made in the last 5 years or so. It seems overwhelming at the start but when you look back you realize you’ve made real strides towards the person you want to become.
