The Best Beauty and Skincare Devices

You probably know my style by now. I’m into efficacious skincare that does its job and leaves the frills behind. I get countless inquiries from companies wanting to send their skincare devices and gadgets—and I know that you’re all being bombarded with them, too! These tools range from affordable to luxury, but one thing rings true for all: they are largely unnecessary (bet you didn’t see that coming)!

Now, while you don’t need any of them, I wanted to share a handful of devices I personally use regularly! Each of these truly make a positive impact on my beauty and skincare routine. But let’s get one thing straight: FIRST AND FOREMOST, invest in a good skincare routine tailored to your skin type and concerns. Once you’ve got that down and you're seeing results, then we can have a little fun with these “extras.”

The Best Beauty and Skincare Devices

Nuface & Ziip

I was super skeptical about microcurrent for quite awhile and it took me a bit to try it. But, I was hearing from colleagues and others whose opinions I trust that they had incorporated it into their routines. So, I thought I better give it a shot. Here’s a breakdown of the 2 I use consistently:

  • NuFACE was the first microcurrent device I ever used—and I still use it 3–5 mornings a week, especially before filming or content days. I saw an immediate lift after just one use. You really don’t need all the fancy attachments—the basic model is perfect. Use code CBAMY for a discount!

  • ZIIP is another great option with an app-connected treatments. It feels a little more high-tech and offers different “facials” depending on your goals (like lymphatic drainage or anti-aging).

Both are great—it just depends on your preference!

I think I am asked for suggestions to combat and prevent hair loss, almost every day! And I get it! Hair thinning or shedding is something so many of us experience (postpartum or not!). This is one of my first suggestions! LED helmet uses red light therapy to stimulate hair follicles and encourage growth over time. It’s not an overnight fix, but with consistent use, I’ve seen improved density and less shedding. Plus, it’s totally hands-free. My husband and I use this one almost every night and we love it!

Omnilux & CurrentBody

Red light therapy is one of the most clinically backed, non-invasive ways to boost collagen, calm inflammation, and improve overall skin texture. I’ve used LED light consistently for years and it’s one of my favorite “skin investments.”

Like Microcurrent, both are amazing, just find the one that best fits you! I should also preface that the best way to ensure results is to use 3–5x per week.

I love this thing in the morning. It helps de-puff, wake up the skin, and calm any redness. Honestly, my favorite hack for using it, is if I am ever overheated (from a hot car, sauna, warm day, etc.), I will use it to prevent rosacea or hyperpigmentation flare ups!

Also, PRO TIP, keep it in your fridge (not your freezer). It’s a little too intense for your skin to use it straight from the freezer.

Use code AMY15 for a discount!

I hear this all the time—people are doing all the right things and still dealing with buildup, dullness, or irritation. Sometimes, it’s not your products—it’s your water. As someone who lives in Miami (aka Miami water), I experienced the exact same thing! Switching to a filtered showerhead made a huge difference for my skin and hair. If you live somewhere with hard water, this is such an underrated upgrade.

I will add to this list as I find more devices that I can’t live without. But for now, these are truly the ones that have made a big difference for me! *Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.
