My Recent Empties & Reviews: 2nd Edition
Alright we are back with another roundup & review. I’ve been testing a ton of products lately — some new launches, some that have been on my radar for a while, some that I just finished my third container of — and I’ve finally worked my way through a bunch of them! You know I will only share honest reviews with you guys, so here’s a quick breakdown of what’s earned a permanent spot in my rotation and what didn’t quite make the cut.
Virtue Scalp Scrubs & Treatments:
This one’s a new love and has officially joined my nighttime routine. Truth be told, my haircare lineup is honestly more extensive than my skincare one, and so you better believe this one is adopted into my lineup! Virtue uses their Alpha Keratin 60ku® protein technology to help strengthen both scalp and hair strands. It’s that perfect balance of being exfoliating and moisturizing!
Would I purchase it again? Absolutely!
Primally Pure SPF:
Oof — this one was a big miss for me. I typically love Primally Pure products, but this SPF just did not sit well on my skin. It felt overly greasy and never seemed to absorb. It’s unfortunately one of my least favorite sunscreens I’ve tried recently!
Would I purchase it again? It’s going to be a no for me…
The Hot Shave Cream & Razor:
If you tend to sway at all towards sensitive skin, like myself, this is my absolute favorite way to dermaplane (especially if you pair it with barefaced oil)! It gives the smoothest finish, without feeling stripped or irritated.
Would I purchase it again? Already have lol!
YSE Exfoliating Pads:
You already know I am a sucsker for a good exfoliating pad. I truly credit them for clearing up my acne! These were a newer one for me to try and I will absolutely be adding them to the rotation. It contains ingredients like glycolic acid and ectoin (aka my fav), to smooth and brighten the skin.
Would I purchase it again? Yes!
Pipette Mineral SPF:
I should preface by saying I technically bought this for my toddler lol. While I do use it on her, I ended up really enjoying the formula so my husband and I will often use it as our body sunscreen too! Also, please use this as your reminder to continue daily spf application (& reapplication in colder/gloomier months too)!
Would I purchase it again? Definitely! It might be my favorite kids spf right now!
Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow
Oh guys, this one is a hard one for me! I love a lot of products from this brand, so I was super excited to try this one. Full transparency, I broke out almost immediately. I’m so bummed, I wanted to love it.
Would I purchase it again? Absolutely not!
Iota SuperVitamin Body Wash
I have been getting a lot of requests to talk a little more about body care, so I am actually super excited to discuss this one with you! To be fair, this is actually maybe my 3rd or 4th container of this body wash I’ve finished (that should tell you enough already). It smells amazing and I really do notice a difference in how my body skin feels after consistent use.
Would I purchase it again? On to my 5th container!
Naturium Body Oil
As you know, I am a dry skin girl, so during colder months, I do like to incorporate body oil (post body lotion). This one from Naturium contains jojoba, rosehip and sea buckthorn, plus squalane. It’s affordable and effective, you honestly can’t beat it.
Would I purchase it again? Absolutely, especially this time of year! If you want to give it a try, you can use my discount code, AMYK15.
I have to say, I am loving these periodic roundups & it seems like you guys do too! Let me know any products you want me to review next! ALSO, if you haven’t already seen, my Skincare Guide is about to get a MASSIVE upgrade.
xx Amy
