How I Plan/ Vision Board For The New Year

With 2025 approaching, I wanted to take a little time to share what I personally like to do when it comes to planning and manifesting for the upcoming year. If you haven’t read my Fall Equinox blog yet, I highly recommend starting there! I think it will give you a better idea of the routines and systems I began building a few months ago—and hope to continue building on in the new year.

Over the years, manifestation, and the spirituality from which it stems, has become such an important part of my life. It’s not just about wishing for something and waiting for it to happen; it’s about setting clear intentions, truly believing in them, and taking aligned action to make those dreams a reality. Most importantly it’s about trusting in the process and knowing that you are always being guided. I know it might sound a little out there, but I promise it’s real and so powerful. With all of that, for me, one of the most impactful ways to manifest has been through vision boarding. There’s something so inspiring about seeing all your goals visualized in one place to reference often.

I’ll go into what I include on my board, but before I do, I want to emphasize that it should be completely personal to you. Whether it’s a dream vacation, personal growth, or career milestones, a vision board should serve as a daily reminder of what you’re working toward and why it matters. I truly think of it as a roadmap for the year.

I’m sure many of you are familiar with the process of vision boarding, planning, or setting resolutions for the new year. With that, I know it can sometimes feel a bit daunting, so I wanted to provide you with some of the questions I ask myself, journal about, and base my board on the answers.

The Questions

1. My word of the year for 2025 is _________.

Start by brainstorming words that capture how you want the year to unfold. These should be words that inspire you and set the tone for your year. In past years, my words have been Abundant, Serendipitous, and Aligned. Once you settle on a word, use it as an anchor for your intentions and goals throughout the year.

2. In 2025, I want to feel _________.

How do you want to feel this year? Understanding the emotions you’d like to embody can guide the vibe of your vision board. While it doesn’t need to follow a specific theme, I love when my board feels cohesive enough to spark an emotion every time I look at it. For example, this year, I wanted my year to feel calm and connected. I used a yellow theme on my board to evoke feelings of calmness, presence, joy, and happiness. Last year was all about business goals for me, my colors matched my brand colors and the overall feeling of the board was very bold. Consider using colors and words to represent how you want to walk through the year.

3. What are 2-3 big, audacious goals I’d love to accomplish this year?

This is your chance to dream big. Don’t be afraid to get specific! What salary would you like to achieve? Do you want to publish a book, launch a podcast, or earn a promotion? Maybe it’s something entirely personal, like running a marathon or starting a family. Thinking big can help you narrow your focus and aim high.

4. In 2025, I want to travel to _________.

For many of us, travel is an exciting goal each year. I find it helpful to pick one or two trips that feel truly meaningful to me, rather than listing too many destinations. This way, I can focus my energy on making those bigger trips a reality. Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t take more trips, but narrowing your focus makes your goals feel more achievable and less overwhelming.

5. In 2024, _________ brought me so much joy.

Gratitude is a key part of manifestation (if you read my self care blog, you’d know that it’s a major part of my day-to-day). Before moving forward into the new year, I like to reflect on the things that brought me happiness and fulfillment in the past year. Acknowledging and being grateful for these moments not only helps you appreciate the present but also attracts more of what you love into your life. The quickest way to achieving your dreams is to be thankful for what you already have.

I hope this helps gives you a little inspiration when it comes to dreaming about your 2025! I hope you all have a wonderful and safe new years! If you’re like me and love some inspo, I’m linking some of my favorite books on the topic here! These have truly changed my life and I don’t say that lightly.
